Abhijat is a highly qualified professional, holding a Master’s degree in Architecture from McGill University in Canada and graduating from SPA Delhi. With an impressive background, Abhijat has successfully worked on and delivered a diverse range of projects in the commercial, industrial, hospitality, age care, and residential sectors across India, Kenya, and Australia. A Certified Residential Specialist and member of the Residential Real Estate Council – US, he is also an alumnus of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), having successfully completed the Executive Leadership Course in Real Estate Management.

A self-made professional in the field of real estate consultancy and development, he began his journey as a broker/consultant in 1991. In 1993, he established his firm under the name The Consultants. In January 2006, he moved to Goa and continued operations under the same name, gradually expanding into project consultancy for real estate developers, providing key inputs for project initialization and land acquisition.

Following a trademark limitation on the name The Consultants, the firm was subsequently restructured and formally registered as Escala Realty India Private Limited on 17th December 2012. Under this entity, he continues to operate, focusing on project consultancy, sales & marketing, trading, and development of properties.

With over 35+ of experience, he currently serves as the Director of Escala Realty India Private Limited, the Immediate Past President of the National Association of Realtors – India (NAR INDIA), and the Chairman Emeritus of the Goa Association of Realtors (GAR). He was nominated by his peers as the Founder Chairman of GAR in 2015 and went on to serve two terms as President and two terms as Chairman, following which he was appointed Chairman Emeritus in 2024.

At NAR-INDIA, he has served as a Governing Body Member from 2016 to 2023, along with key leadership roles including Zonal Head – West Zone (2021–22), Vice President (2022–23), President-Elect (2023–24), and President (2024–26), and is now the Immediate Past President.

His expertise spans locale identification, land acquisition, market research, project planning, surveys, construction, and end-to-end real estate consultancy in Goa.
